Resum
The article addresses the topic of concertation and collaboration between social partners and state authorities in the framework of the policies fighting against irregular employment. The analysis draws on a theoretical approach which combines neo-corporatist and coenforcement perspectives. Empirical material presented is based on a case study which has researched an action in which social partners and the labour inspectorate cooperate with a view to co-enforce labour regulation. The action studied is developed in Spain at regional level (Asturias) in the construction sector. This sector has become fissured as a result of widespread practices which have increased flexibility of production organisation. The analysis confirms the relevance and complementarity of the theoretical approaches contrasted. It also contributes to understand the factors which explain how the consensus in this field is reached and the effectiveness of this kind of cooperation actions to tackle irregular employment.
