Resum

The application of Babinet principle to the design of metasurfaces and metamaterials was discussed. A new 'particle' was proposed for the design of metasurfaces with high frequency selectivity. Applications in the fields of frequency selective surfaces and polarizers were also discussed. The tunability of the devices was found to be achievable if the particles are etched on the appropriate substrates.
