Avances en sociología de los sueños

The following research notes are intended to present advances in the sociology of dreams, with special emphasis on the assessment of recent contributions on the subject made by the French sociologist Bernard Lahire. After outlining the sociological precedents on the subject, we will state that the interpretive model proposed by the author, the result of dialogue with the main scientific disciplines dedicated to the dream, lays the foundations for the development of a research program dedicated to the sociology of dreams. The construction of a new object of study, fascinating and mysterious at the same time, and practically unprecedented in Spanish sociology, adds interest to the sociological approach to dreams.
