This article presents the initial results of a research project at primary school, which studies the impact of introducing a composer into the classroom. The most relevant phases of this project are: analysis of a work of a contemporary composer, the elaboration of a musical creation based on the resources and compositional elements of the work studied, the visit of the composer to the classroom to work collaboratively with the children on their compositions, the reworking of the composition and final concert. Then, we will analyse the results obtained from the questionnaires completed by the children after the composer’s visit.
