MANY RECENT STUDIES AIM AT THE NEED TO DEEPEN KNOWLEDGE AND ACTION ON CERTAIN AREAS AND SECTORS ESPECIALLY HARD HIT BY THE PANDEMIC AND OTHER CONCURRENT CRISES (ECONOMIC, ENVIRONMENTAL, ENERGY, CLIMATE/ENVIRONMENTAL AND OF RELIABILITY OF INFORMATION) REGARDING ( A) THE EXTENSION OF THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON CERTAIN GROUPS (BEYOND THE DIRECT CONSEQUENCES OF THE DISEASE OR THE HEALTH FIELD), (B) THE AGGRAVATION OF FACTORS THAT INDUCE VULNERABILITY IN THE CASE OF FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN A PERIOD OF UPBRINGING, (C) THE NEED TO KNOW AND EVALUATE THE SITUATION OF THESE FAMILIES BEYOND THE STRICTLY HEALTH, ECONOMIC OR EDUCATIONAL IMPACT, (D) THE INVISIBILITY OF SOME IMPLICATIONS OF THE PANDEMIC CRISIS UPON CHILDREN, (E) THE AMPLIFICATION OF CERTAIN INEQUALITIES (E.G. GENDER GAP, SOCIO-TECHNOLOGICAL BARRIERS) OR (F) THE CENTRALITY OF SUPPORT NETWORKS (FORMAL AND INFORMAL) AND THE SOCIAL UPHEAVAL THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED DURING THESE PAST TWO YEARS.
OUR PROPOSAL ASSUMES THE CONCURRENT NATURE OF THOSE CRISES AND PROPOSES A JOINT APPROACH TO THEM FROM AN INTERDISCIPLINARY (ANTHROPOLOGY, MEDICINE, PSYCHOLOGY, PEDAGOGY, SOCIAL WORK, SOCIAL EDUCATION AND COMMUNICOLOGY) AND INTERSECTORAL (ACADEMY, INSTITUTIONS, ENTITIES, AGENTS AND BENEFICIARIES) INVESTIGATION THAT WILL AFFECT FOUR AREAS OF DISCIPLINARY INTERPENETRATION: (1) HEALTH, (2) FORMAL AND INFORMAL SUPPORT, (3) INSTITUTIONAL PROTECTION OF MOTHERS WHO ARE VICTIMS OF GENDER VIOLENCE AND THEIR OFFSPRING, AND (4) COMMUNICATION, CULTURAL TRANSMISSION AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING.
AS THE INDIRECT CONSEQUENCES OF A CRISIS SUCH AS COVID-19 MAY AFFECT CHILDREN TO A GREATER EXTENT THAN THE DIRECT SEQUELAE, THIS STUDY TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE CONFLUENCE OF VARIOUS CRISES IN PARENTING ENVIRONMENTS TO DELIMIT AND BETTER UNDERSTAND THE NATURE AND REACH OF THESE EFFECTS AND THUS BE ABLE TO GUIDE WELL-INFORMED ACTIONS ON CERTAIN TARGET GROUPS: VULNERABLE FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN THE PARENTING PERIOD, CONTEXTS OF HIGH DIVERSITY, WOMEN IN PROTECTION ENVIRONMENTS DUE TO GENDER VIOLENCE, PROSTITUTION AND THE INCIDENCE OF THESE CONTEXTS ON CHILDREN (CDIAP), PROFESSIONALS AND KEY SECTORS THAT MAY RAISE AWARENESS, ADDRESS AND MITIGATE THE PROBLEM.
IN THIS WAY, BY ADDRESSING PARENTING PRACTICES, COPING STRATEGIES OR FAMILY DYNAMICS BASED ON THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE EFFECTS OF THIS CONCURRENCE OF CRISES OF DIVERSE NATURE WE SHALL OBTAIN A MORE COMPLETE AND RELIABLE SNAPSHOT OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE VULNERABILITY OF THESE FAMILIES, AS WELL AS OF THE REPERTOIRE OF RESOURCES WITHIN THEIR REACH AND THEIR REAL COPING POSSIBILITIES. TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL, WE START FROM THE MOR RELEVANT OUTCOMES OF THE PROJECT CSO2017-83101-C2-1-R PROJECT, CARRIED OUT BETWEEN 2018 AND 2021, AS WELL AS FROM THE NETWORK OF INTERNATIONAL TEAMS AND RESEARCHERS OF RECOGNIZED PRESTIGE IN THESE FIELDS OF RESEARCH THAT WE HAVE WOVEN IN RECENT YEARS.
THE APPLIED NATURE OF THE PROPOSAL RELY ON FIVE BASIC PILLARS: (A) INTERDISCIPLINARITY IN THE RESEARCH APPROACH, (B) INTERSECTORIALITY IN ITS DEVELOPMENT, (C) THE DISSEMINATION OF ITS RESULTS THROUGH DIFFERENT CHANNELS, (D) ACTIONS OF TRANSFER AND SOCIAL AWARENESS, AND (E) THE PREPARATION OF TRAINING MATERIALS IN AUDIOVISUAL SUPPORT AND DIGITAL FORMAT.
