Teaching in AI

Teachers in upper secondary schools in Europe find themselves in a pickle because of AI. The pros are tremendous, but so are the cons, and as always teachers ask themselves, "how do my students learn best in the current environment." Normally we would have our own education and experience to rely on. Not here. AI is super new, in a constant flux and we do not have any resources to back us up. This project aims to change that. We want to make teachers ready to teach in an AI generated future. We will develop preliminary teaching materials in AI along with leading AI experts from the University of Innsbruck in three times two rounds covering three areas: STEM, Arts & Humanities, and Everyday life incl. Social Science. These materials will be tested and evaluated by two groups. Teachers first, and based upon their evaluations, we will optimize. Students next, and based on evaluations and monitoring, we will optimize again. Finally, we will compile, streamline and disseminate. A free and easily implementable compilation of teaching materials covering AI & STEM, AI & Arts + Humanities, and AI + Everyday life incl. Social Science, created by top researchers, tested by ordinary European teachers and a large amount of promosing European students in upper secondary schools.
