Description

SUBPROJECT 1, MEDIEVAL AND MODERN SOURCES FOR THE STUDY OF TRANSCULTURAL RELATIONS IN THE MEDITERRANEAN: WRITING AND TRANSMISSION III, INTENDS TO CONTINUE IN THE LINE OF WORK OF PREVIOUS PROJECTS, WHICH HAVE HAD VERY RELEVANT AND WELL-VALUED RESULTS. IN THIS PROJECT, ON THE ONE HAND, WORK IN PROGRESS WILL BE CONTINUED AND THE SPECTRUM TEXTUAL WILL ALSO BE EXPANDED, WITH FINDINGS RECENTLY MADE, WITH THE AIM OF ADDRESSING THEIR STUDY AND EDITION THAT WILL BE MADE KNOWN TO THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY IN CONGRESSES AND IN RELEVANT PUBLICATIONS. LIKEWISE, IT IS INTENDED TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF SIX DOCTORAL THESES IN PROGRESS, WHICH IN TURN ARE DEVELOPED THANKS TO COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPS. THIS SUBPROJECT1 AIMS TO ADDRESS THE LOCATION, EDITION AND STUDY OF UNPUBLISHED TEXTS, ESPECIALLY LATIN, BYZANTINE, ROMANCE, HEBREW AND ARABIC TEXTS, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE STUDY OF THE INTERACTION AND SIGNS OF CROSS-CULTURAL RELATIONSHIP, WHICH DENOTE THE CIRCULATION, TRANSLATION AND READING OF RELIGIOUS TEXTS SUCH AS TEXTUAL SOURCES THAT WILL INFLUENCE THE WRITING OF POLEMICAL TEXTS. RESEARCH INCLUDES THE STUDY OF THE OPPORTUNITY OF TRANSLATION, TRANSMISSION AND REPERCUSSION OF THESE TEXTS IN EUROPEAN CULTURES, ESPECIALLY IN THE IBERIAN PENINSULA, THROUGH AN INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITY THAT PROFOUNDLY MODIFIED THE PERSPECTIVE OF INTERRELIGIOUS RELATIONS. LIKEWISE, THE SUBPROJECT1 WILL WORK ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BICORE (RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE AND CONTROVERSIES, IBERIAN DIGITAL LIBRARY), A PLATFORM THAT AIMS TO DISSEMINATE AN IMPORTANT CATALOGUE OF WORKS AND AUTHORS OF RELIGIOUS POLEMICAL, WRITTEN IN THE PENINSULAR LANGUAGE, WITH THE AIM OF MAKING VISIBLE THE IMPORTANCE OF THAT PRODUCTION SINCE LATE ANTIQUITY AND UNTIL THE S. XVIII.
