Descripció
A shift to biological raw materials and biological processing methods could save up to 2.5 billion tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year by 2030, increasing markets for bio-based raw materials and new consumer products several-fold. The aim of the EU-funded UrBIOfuture project is to bring Europe to the forefront of the bio-based sector by boosting careers, new educational programmes and research activities. The project will identify education needs and gaps in Europe’s bio-based sector, and it will point to career opportunities in research. The project will also involve all stakeholders in a co-creation process to attract talent and provide professional orientation. As part of its communication and dissemination goals, the project will organise promotional events and workshops.
